The competition is open to schools of all levels and Italian schools abroad. It is divided into the following categories:
Registration for the competition is exclusively at institutional level and must be carried out by the school's contact teacher, who will be responsible to share all information relating to the competition with colleagues from the institution who are interested in participating
Registration is open until 12:00 noon on Friday, March 13, 2026.
Following registration, a unique school identification code will be sent to the contact teacher. This code will be necessary in order for the school's students to participate: once the unique code has been received, all students from the registered school will be able to participate by entering the provided code.

The school is responsible for the internal organization of participants (team formation, coordination, etc.).
The competition consists of 10 multiple-choice questions for each category, which will be available at the start of the competition via Google Form.
Students are not required to log in with their personal email address nor to create an individual account: access to the questions is via a unique code provided to the school's contact teacher.
The quizzes will be available from 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 14, 2026, to 6:00 p.m. on Monday, March 16, 2026, and answers may only be submitted within this time frame.
Each school will arrange independently so that students can complete the online quiz. Access is possible from any device with an internet connection. Students will be able to answer the 10 questions provided for the type of school they belong to: primary, lower secondary, or upper secondary.
Access to the quiz will be possible from March 14, 2026, to March 16, 2026, via the event platform https://www.piday.it.
The quiz will be spread over several days, as March 14, 2026, falls on a Saturday, in order to allow schools to carry out the activities during school hours.
The competition, in which all registered schools will participate simultaneously, will begin at 9 a.m. on March 14, 2026, and end at 6 p.m. on March 16, 2026.
The competition is open to all students at the school. In order to be recognized as participants from their school, students must enter the code provided to them upon registration at the beginning of the quiz. The code must therefore be communicated to students in advance.
During the quiz, the answers and the time of submission will be recorded.
Based on the accuracy of the answers and the time taken, 5 gold medals, 10 silver medals, and 20 bronze medals will be awarded in digital format to the top-ranked schools. The number of medals may increase in the event of a tie.
All participating schools will receive the “Official Supporter π Day 2026” award, and all students who have completed the activities will receive a certificate of participation.
